Raj Mahagaokar oversees Grid United’s financial activities and helps drive strategy and commercialization for all of Grid United’s transmission development activities.
Previously, Raj was a Principal of Riverstone Holdings LLC. At Riverstone, he invested in and managed public and private portfolio companies in the decarbonization, power and oil & gas sectors and served on numerous boards. Prior to joining Riverstone, Raj was a co-founder and Partner of Marka, LLC from 2012 to 2014. Marka explored growth equity investment opportunities in East Africa. Earlier in his career, Raj was an investment professional at Silver Lake Kraftwerk providing growth equity to tech-enabled energy and resource companies. Raj began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs in the Natural Resources group and later in the Urban Investment Group, a principal investing strategy.
Raj received his bachelor’s degree in mathematical economic analysis from Rice University.
