Christina Tamayo is a Development Project Manager at Grid United supporting the Southline Transmission Project. She is responsible for the development of Grid United projects, which includes managing stakeholder relationships, budgeting, land acquisition processes, field safety, and permitting and regulatory strategies. Previously, Christina supported Three Corners Connector (3CC) in Colorado and Oklahoma by acquiring and negotiating rights-of-way, as well as developing and implementing the project’s Community Investment Program. On behalf of 3CC, Christina supported successful project community grant applications with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Transmission Siting and Economic Development program, resulting in $60 million awarded to 3CC communities in Guymon, Oklahoma and Southeastern Colorado. Christina actively contributed to the 2024 Colorado Electric Transmission Authority working sessions, studies, and public comments.
Christina is a U.S. Army veteran and served nine years as a Military Police Officer, specializing in emergency and crisis management.
Christina was a 2024 policy fellow with the Veterans Advanced Energy Project, sponsored by the Atlantic Council, where she published policy insights on state electric transmission authorities.
Christina holds an MBA from Rice University and a bachelor’s in engineering psychology from the United States Military Academy at West Point. She is FEMA ICS 100-400 level certified.
