As Vice President – Strategy & New Initiatives, Gimod Mathew is responsible for identifying and vetting new business opportunities that would leverage Grid United’s development and human capital. Gimod is also responsible for leading the transmission & interconnection function while supporting the development and commercialization strategy of mature projects.
In his previous roles at Enel Green Power and Tradewind Energy, Gimod led the interconnection strategy of a 15 GW renewable energy development portfolio spanning the US. Gimod also held various engineering roles at ITC Holdings Corp., where he focused on developing new transmission through the competitive solicitation process in various RTOs.
Gimod holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Mumbai. He also holds a Professional Engineer license in the state of Michigan.
