With over 15 years of experience on energy infrastructure projects throughout the United States, Toya Campbell leads permitting efforts at Grid United. She is responsible for environmental review of federal, state, and local permitting strategies on Grid United’s transmission projects.
Prior to joining Grid United, Toya was responsible for overseeing the preparation of federal, state, and local permit/license applications and through consultant support, the coordination and management of field studies including biological and cultural resources, and wetland delineations. She has worked on pipeline and compliance projects at Kinder Morgan and most recently NextEra Energy. As an environmental project manager at NextEra, Toya was responsible for supporting the development and permitting of wind and solar facilities in the central region of the United States.
Toya holds a master’s degree in environmental science from Florida A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in urban forestry from Southern University.
