Ying Liu is Vice President of Finance. She is responsible for project financing and the related activities to support commercialization for all of Grid United’s projects.
Previously, Ying was a Managing Director of Treasury and the Growth portfolio at Talen Energy, where she led large scale financing transactions including project financing of Talen’s digital infrastructure campus at the Susquehanna nuclear facility. Prior to Talen, Ying was a Financial Controller at LNG Limited, and a Director of Commercial Operations at Calpine Corp. Earlier in her career, Ying rotated through various corporate finance functions as a Manager at General Motors Treasurer’s Office, and worked as a Lead Financial Analyst at TXU Energy.
Ying holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of International Business & Economics in Beijing, China.
